Shree Bageshwori Mandir
Located in the heart of Nepalgunj, Shree Bageshwori Mandir is one of the oldest and most venerated Hindu temples in western Nepal. Dedicated to Goddess Bageshwori (an incarnation of Durga), the temple sits beside a large pond. Within the same complex, travelers can visit a temple housing an idol of Lord Shiva depicted with a mustache—one of the few such depictions in the region. During Dashain and Teej, the grounds fill with devotees, offering a window into local religious life.
