Dhankuta (धनकुटा)

Dhankuta Bazaar is a historic, charming hill town that once served as the administrative capital of the Eastern Development Region of Nepal. Namaste Waterfall is a spectacular, thundering natural landmark situated in a narrow canyon near Simsuwa along the Bhedetar-Dhankuta road. Pakhribas is a historically significant hill town, globally famous as a pioneering agricultural research station established in cooperation with the British Government in 1972 AD. The station has developed numerous high-yielding, climate-resilient crop varieties and livestock breeds that transformed mountain farming. The town features beautifully manicured agricultural research farms, cool weather, and experimental crop fields. It is a highly popular picnic and educational spot, offering visitors a pleasant environment to learn about organic farming, walk through terraced experimental plots, and enjoy mountain views.
